DIMENSIONS: inch 11.8" x 7" x 4.3" // cm 30 x 18 x 11

Antique wooden mask from Tharu culture, South Nepal or North India, representing Hanuman, the Hindu god with simian semblances. Certainly used for ceremonies and processions. Made in strong heavy wood, with still traces of black white and red pigments, has a nice patina from age and handling (In hands give a nice feeling of age and solidity), signs of wear and tear but is in overall great condition.
